For the price, it served my purpose well. I want to set up my rigs ahead of time so I can start fishing right away when I get to the fishing grounds. The sinker banging your rod will cause chips and scratches and can cause weak points that will later contribute to the rod breaking while casting or fighting a fish. I use these to protect my rods from potential damage the sinker might cause while on transport in my truck.

This thing is awesome! It does exactly what it's supposed to.
